Omniideck is one verified record of every esports player, team, tournament and organiser. This policy explains what we collect, why, what we show in public, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Omniideck website and the services described in our Terms.
In this policy "we" and "us" mean the operator of Omniideck. If you do not agree with it, please do not use Omniideck.
We collect only what we need to run the record.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
A player record is public by default. It shows your gamertag, photo, games, teams, results and achievements. It never shows your name, email, phone, NIN or date of birth.
You can make your record private at any time in Account › Sharing. While it is private, nobody else can see it, partners are not given it, and you are left off public team rosters. Organisers still see you in tournaments you enter.
Tournament results are part of the tournament’s own record. A result an organiser entered under your gamertag can stay on that tournament even if your record is private or deleted.
The NIN check is optional. It is offered to players whose country is Nigeria, and it only runs after you tick a box agreeing to it. We send your NIN, name, date of birth and phone to our identity verification provider, which checks them with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
We store the outcome: whether you passed, the provider and its reference, when you were checked, and the date of birth on the national record. After the check your date of birth is locked. Only a checked date of birth is used to say whether you are over 18.
Your NIN and date of birth are never shown on your record or given to partners.
We work with partner apps and services. They get information in two ways.
Partners are responsible for how they use what they receive under their own privacy policies.
Some companies run parts of Omniideck for us. They may only use your information to provide that service.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a sale or merger of Omniideck, under this policy.
We use your browser’s storage to keep you signed in and to remember your theme, your region and which notifications you have seen. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear this storage in your browser settings; you will then be signed out and your choices reset.
Staff can only reach the parts of Omniideck their role allows. When staff open someone’s personal details, we log it. Changes to team staff ask for a recent password. We keep regular backups.
No system is perfectly secure. Please use a strong password that you do not use anywhere else, and tell us if you think your account has been misused.
We may keep some information longer when the law requires it or to settle a dispute.
You can ask us to:
You can also complain to the data protection authority in Nigeria. To ask for any of these, contact us (section 15). We may need to confirm it is you first.
Omniideck is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you are under 18, please use Omniideck with a parent or guardian’s permission. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Our service providers may store and process information outside Nigeria. Where they do, we rely on their safeguards and the protections the law requires for such transfers.
We may change this policy. When we do, we will update the date at the top, and tell you on Omniideck if the change is significant.
If you play on a team roster, or hold a team or Omniideck role, use the "Report or suggest" button at the bottom right of any page. You will be told each time your report moves. To fix a wrong detail on a record, open the record and choose "Suggest an update".
We do not have a public email address yet. Until we do, those two in-app routes are the way to reach us. This page will name an address as soon as there is one.
